Go back and watch Heaps against Utah his Freshman year. He was poised and played it well. Utah was not a middle of the pack WAC team. Heaps did what it took to win the game but the rest of the team let him down. Two awful plays turned the game around and then instead of putting the ball in the hands of Heaps to win the game a coaching error handed the game to Utah.

Something happened to Heaps his sophomore year because he lost all confidence. I think it was a series of things that I wont talk about here at this time but I do agree the line play was part of it. Riley was able to play better that year due to his athletic ability.

Riley was not able to play well with the back injury and coaches should be ashamed of themselves for playing him in that condition. I am sure CB and most cougar fans would be much kinder to Nelson had he not played those games with that injury. It hurt BYU football and hurt Nelson's reputation
