I think he'll be fine
Plus he'll be asked to do less.
On field goal unit his job will be to stand there and be 6'7" 400lbs so no one can go through him.
In a year or two, he'll be asked to go in on obvious run situations. His job will be to be 6'7" 400lbs so no one can push him out of his gap or get around him to block a linebacker.
If he picks things up, they might teach him some pass rush moves.
