Plumber wants way more than we want to pay so we are considering doing it ourselves. We have an old softener (10 years old) that would be coming out and a new one would be going in. No plumbing experience, but we have used Youtube for washer/dryer repairs as well as garage door opener repairs. Is this something an amateur should attempt?
