Addition by subtraction. If a fan is so emotional about the handling of an HC issue they jump ship before they have the information (FB and the HC office have not discussed this openly), they are already acting like a ute fan.

If any of the following describe you then you are already on track to becoming a ute

1. If you have a tendency to bandwagon jump. True BYU fans stick with the team through the good times and the bad. Sometimes it feels like BYU has more downs than ups. However, much like family, you should be stuck with them. If you have no such bond, then you are not a Cougar

2. If you leave games early because your team is losing. True BYU fans show interest in their team during the whole game. They attend the games when they can and if they cannot it is on the DVR for that night. If you check out of games early, BYU blue is not for you.

3. If your favorite team is the rival or your old favorite team. This is worse than a bandwagon fan, this is worse than being a Ute, this is unacceptable for any so-called sports fan.
