I can no longer support BYU. I find myself more and more on the other side,
and so I just can't do it anymore.
Before, I felt comfortable in my cognitive dissonance. Always ignoring the obvious problems with the school and the way it conducts things.
I grew up a BYU fan because of my dad. I never went to the school, and I don't have any ties to it besides that my parents went there. My dad will probably be upset, but I can no longer support a school, even just by supporting their teams. In wearing BYU I'm saying I stand with and support what they do, including the HC... and I don't.
I will always support their student athletes, but from now on I will be wearing red and cheering for the U of U as my major Utah college to follow. Yes... this is intended. I know the answer may be just to not cheer for Utah either or cheer for someone else... nope. I'm going to cheer against BYU because their policies, namely the HC, suck.
I already know what you think about that and about me... and it doesn't matter.
Just wanted to give the heads because I'll still be around, but it will be as a Utah fan from now on.

There are some BYU fans I have suggested they should follow and become U fans (DesertBlues, Aug 22, 2017 at 12:56pm)
