You seem to forget what the MWC has become

The MWC isn't what is once was with Utah, TCU, and BYU battling it out. It is now basically the WAC reincarnate. Obviously it would be fun to have a conference title to contend for, but none of the G5 titles are even worth contending for IMO. Yay, you beat out Utah State, Air Force, and Wyoming for a Conference title...so what?
