10 televised games between P5 teams on the reported channels. 8 of those games had more viewers than BYU-LSU. It edged out the NC State-South Carolina game and beat the Washington-Rutgers game that was on Fox Sports 1. And most of the 8 games with more viewers had way more viewers. Purdue-Louisville was close, W. Va. v. VTech had 2.5 times as many viewers, OSU-Indiana and Tennessee-GaTech had about 3 times as many viewers, and (not surprisingly) the Michigan-Florida and Alabama-FSU games had way more viewers. And that BYU-LSU game had more viewers than any BYU regular season game last year. Utah was close, and then no others were even very close. So the metrics don't seem to support an argument that BYU draws as well as half of the P5 teams.
