More relevant analysis is the time and channel. Compare BYU-LSU to other games

on ESPN this year and last year in the Saturday 9:30/10pm ET timeslot. But again, it's just one game and LSU usually attracts great ratings for its timeslot and channel, so you need to run similar analysis for other BYU games.

But, FWIW, it did better than most PAC matchups but much worse than most SEC matchups last year:

LSU-BYU = 1.763M viewers

Auburn-Clemson = 4.72M

Arkansas-A&M = 3.872M

Mississippi-LSU = 2.669M

Texas-California = 2.447M

USC-UCLA = 2.301M

Washington-Cal = 2.007M

Washington St.-Stanford = 1.754M

Arizona-ASU = 1.672M (Black Friday - 10pm ET)

Virginia-Oregon = 1.579M

UCLA-Washingon St. = 1.311M

Arizona-UCLA = 1.027M

Washington St.-Cal = 1.005M
