At approximately 45 minutes (assuming on time) before your scheduled departure, the plane will arrive and begin deboarding and baggage unload from the previous flight. That takes about ten minutes. Then boarding begins. They start paperwork (and cease boarding) at least ten minutes before the plane leaves, often as soon as everyone at the airport had boarded.
Bottom line, I'd get there at least 45 minutes early. You should be fine.
BTW, these employees are overworked and underpaid for all the crap they have to deal with. They are also bound by some ridiculous FAA and airline policies. Please be patient. Things will go better for everyone.
