Sure, everything would be right with our world if we had amazing players and coaches and were undefeated. But that's not our reality with independence. It's not a realistic expectation. Independence was never the long-term plan, because front-loading schedules with P5 and back-loading with G5 is not a recipe for glory. It statistically guarantees we're out of the picture every year. We just have to hang with it and get into a P5 ASAP, or tuck our tails and go G5.

Five more years of this routine will force us to do something more desparate, so I pray we get a break.
