Why? How EXACTLY does G5 improve anything?

Easier schedules? I'm not sure that's even true. We play mostly MWC level or lower teams as indy anyway. This year the P5s happen to have been tough but that's not always the case, and there's only 4 of them, counting Utah.

Less front loaded? No one who remembers anything about being in the Mountain West Conference could say that. We always played two or sometimes three power five teams early on because ITS THE ONLY TIME THEY CAN PLAY US-- just like now. That's not going to change no matter what we do unless we win the lottery and get into a P5 conference ourselves.

What else do you see? A conference championship that's basically like winning the Miss Burley Idaho pageant? Less money make you happy?
