I read tweets/post that we should go to G5 conference because we have nothing to play for....stop. The conference champion from the MWC goes where...the LV Bowl. And they play middle of the pack of the P12. We've played two top teams from the SEC/B10. Best case scenario in the MWC, they go to a NY6 game...which is as meaningful as any other bowl game since the CFP started.

Anybody that is complaining that the schedule lightens up because we're playing sister's of the poor is not being honest about being in a G5 conference. The teams on our schedule look strangely like the same teams in the MWC.

Income is not suddenly going to sky rocket because we're going into a G5 conference, it will go down because of the following.
-Less big times games-Fewer opportunities for money games
-Less donations-why donate to a program that is settling to compete at a lower level
-Less corporate sponsors-sponsorship means less because there are less eyes on it
-Less money from TV-Deal....equals less fans nationwide so our value further decreases and becomes more localized

Talent will go down because there are less opportunities to play on the big stage on TV versus premier teams. This will affect our ability to compete against our rival and P5 teams.

Conference championships will not waive a magic wand over late season games to make them meaningful...the CFB changed all of this. Conference championships do not mean what they used to. Additionally, if you get a G5 conference championship, you're not going to plaster that on your car. You achieved a secondary championship that means nothing.
