and passed around because people see it a lot. I get that there's a bias for Detmer and people really want it to work. Who doesn't? And I'm not even saying he's a big problem. But I do think it's possible he's outdated and not willing enough to adapt right now. I'm sure he's plenty capable.

But let's be real. People are trying to put everything on the players when 4 out of 5 offensive coaches weren't even coaching college ball before they got here. Seriously people? Odds are if they're not simply bad, they're at least behind in knowing how to really get things working properly at this level in this decade. Everyone keeps saying it takes time to get things right with the roster. True. Well another truth is that it's probably going to take time to get it with the staff as well.

I won't try to take responsibility away from the players. A whole lot of it is on them. And a whole lot is on coaches too.
