If SDSU, BYU, Boise and AFA were to join (or CSU vs SDSU) the AAC would become by far the most relevant G5 league and, after getting the NY6 autobid most years, would become similar in prestige to the old Big East: better than the rest, NY6 autobid, but not strong enough to get into the National Championship discussion without the right circumstances falling into place elsewhere.
