Yep, we're not as far off from success as we're acting these days...

...too many people are acting like we can't compete and I think it's bull.

The O is totally out of sync due to poor QB play and poor RB play. It's crazy that Tanner hasn't delivered good QB play. The dude was an Elite 11 co-MVP with a good NFL quarterback. He came back and played like a budding Jim McMahon as a Freshman. Who could have seen him not performing? We get plenty of QB talent at BYU. We've been on a bit of an unlucky streak though with Ben, Jake, and now Tanner somehow not becoming what they looked like they would become (or not staying to try to do so).

The RB play has been bad, but it's unlucky Ula wasn't healthy going into the season and Burt and others that should have panned out as at least servicable haven't.

The line is doing just fine against very tough opponents and the receivers and tight ends are not the issue.

Overall the offense is historically bad, but if you watch film it's only a few radio dial adjustments from being fairly decent if the QB play could step up.

I love our D the last two years. I'm not saying the D is having an outstanding year, but it doesn't help that the O is historically bad. We act like we can't be competitive when we have a D that's probably on par with most D's from TCU through FSU of the Coaches Poll (11-25). Give this D a decent O and we are at least 2-2 and maybe 3-1.

We're totally capbable of producing decent offenses. We do need luck to turn our way with QBs, it's been too long since Max Hall.
