New members had to have 100% of all schools, and Stanford and Cal were a no from the get go. Now new members need a 70% approval, and if this rule applied back then, maybe BYU gets in, but who knows. If it happened today, we could make it in even if  Stanford, Cal, and utah would all vote us down.
