It is not 1980 anymore. Very easy to find girls to date, especially in CA.
Will it other schools in CA have the opportunities that BYU has, not likely. Will he have to potentially look further, likely. That being said most kids would be happy to do that if that means playing for their top school.
Additionally being from CA only helps. I don't think he will struggle.
If the other options we Nebraska or Iowa I may agree, but CA schools will allow many opportunities.
