You don't know many cats. It all depends on the individual cat.
Some cats absolutely love people and love to be petted, cuddled, etc. as much cats are more aloof and only want human attention when they want it.
I'm not as much an expert on cats as dogs, but I'm gonna assume like a dog, the more you handle them as a kitten the more likely they will like to be handled.
