good things about the future, not bad. Tonga, Kirby, Tuifua, Fauatea, Leiataua, Saleapaga was just called out by Tuiaki as being a really good scout performer. This is a very well recruited group of guys who are all freshmen except one soph. They could also now have room to add a certain transfer from a certain school, another really solid recruit. And don't forget getting Mounga back. It's too bad they couldn't have added Tofa because he was a top notch recruit.
"A lot of the young players lack experience." Yeah, obviously... They're young. What does that have to do with the future though? Tonga and Kirby likely starting at DT next year will be great. And that's if Fauatea doesn't win a spot, but he'll get a ton of PT anyway. There will be plenty of guys with NFL upside playing next year, and it's all really young. It's not crucial to add a bunch of DL this class. Sure they had Manoa, but then we got Kirby, so it evens out. They lost a guy in Fotu who was going to be tough to keep, but we could see a transfer here or there, or a late add.
There are plenty of guys. Basically skipping this class after a really big DL class last year, and then having another big one again in 2019, will be fine.
