Going back to the Mountain West conference or any G5 conference would financially bury the program beyond repair.
If you are blind to the undertones that are effecting GOR rights, university debt obligations, and dwindling state tax revenue (check the new tax reform and see how it effects state budgets), then you will see that G5s and many low level P5s will not survive the decade.
