Unfortunately, Independent BYU has never had "The team to show it yet." BYU has been Independent for seven years and no team has gone undefeated. Not even close to it, we've lost at least two games every year.

To illustrate how difficult it is to go undefeated, the last time BYU did it was 1984 when LaVell won the National Championship. That was 33 years ago and the only undefeated season in all of BYU football history. Even using your Blue Goggle Logic, it just isn't happening very often.

Now that BYU is Independent, it's going to be exponentially more difficult to go undefeated and make a NYD Bowl. It would take some very powerful Blue Goggles to see an undefeated season and a NYD Bowl anywhere in BYU's football future.

Actually I'm a big fan of Blue Goggle Logic. I always pick BYU to win, I'm not ever going to pick any team to beat us. But at some point in the big picture you have to be realistic. Independence is not sustainable for BYU. No matter how blue your goggles are, it won't bring BYU an undefeated season and a NYD Bowl. Sorry to tarnish your Blue Goggles. I'm just as disappointed about that as you or any BYU fan.

You're wrong again when you claim that my "Logic is based off of our one crap season right now." I did not say that in my post. To the contrary, it's based off the experience of not going undefeated and to a NYD Bowl in the seven seasons of Independence and considering that our football history has only one special season ever.
