I thought Hacksaw Ridge was extremely well done
I thought Saving Private Ryan was little hokey with the perfectly diverse rifle squad led by a captain with the cliche conscientious objector medic who hated weapons.
The difference in Hacksaw Ridge was that nothing was cliche because it wasn't fiction like Saving Private Ryan was.
