Second, his leash is now very short. It should be nonexistent as in he should be let go after a season like this, but this is BYU so now his leash is very short. If he doesn't produce big results next year, he's gone. If he were a new OC next year, he'd have a three year leash.
Third, he has set BYU back and made it much harder to recruit the talent he needs. Not a good combination with his now short leash.
Fourth, his prospects of remaining in the college coaching ranks are quickly diminishing.
