Nothing is going to stop people from BMing or discussing certain posters in FO who they find to be ridiculous. If that turns into bullying on the board, then you can ignore or report for abuse.

This new feature is not about preventing bullying, it's about promoting an echo chamber for a certain sub-culture of CB that has a hard time coping with other CBers questioning or disagreeing with their world-views. Instead, they want to be surrounded by like-minded posters who boost their self-esteem with thumbs ups and POTD votes without seeing painful thumbs-downs, laughing faces, or sarcastic response GIFs that makes them aware that others might disagree with their opinions.
