So the OP was just a question and I can't understand how it was "mean." So i'll pretend this was meant for the general board and respond.

Most of us still respect the heck out of detmer. No one is turning on him in my opinion. But just because we respect him doesn't mean we can't have the opinion that he isn't a great O coordinator at the college level. And I'm a fan whether the team is winning or losing. That doesn't mean I don't have eyes though. That doesn't mean I can't want better for the program. In fact, its BECAUSE I'm a fan that I want better for the program. A fan does not mean sitting on my hands and being ok with the first 10 loss season in the history of this program. A fan does not mean just twiddling my thumbs and saying "all is well in zion" while watching a dumpster fire.
A fan is someone who continues to support the team, but wants it to improve, and because he/she wants it to improve, and because he/she loves the team so much, he/she is going to talk about it and discuss what needs to improve.
