I got a sound bar. I did the Vizio one at Sam's club, it was around $140.
I really like it, it it much better and I'm not worried about surround sound. But it actually can simulate it a bit. I'd look into a few of them, maybe try a few or at best buy, Sam's club or Costco.
Personally I would not spend over $200 on one. If you start to go over that you might as well get a full system.
