Not if we can get a couple guys to completely buy in to the concept of...
...passing up so-so shots or good shots for better shots. We’re still seeing both Haws and Bryant forcing a lot of things in tough games and pressing too hard. If they can master the thought that when they drive the lane their primary goal is a wide open layup or finish at the rim and if they draw another player’s man sliding over to help defend and/or pull wing/corner defenders closer to the key they need to make the easier higher yield play and kick it to the open shooter in the corner.

We did it with Bryant in the MVSU game and he hit 6 of 7 (most of which came from the corner). We can hit this shot for good pct if we look for it. Plus, coaches have been stressing that when we reload on offense and run a set again vs take the difficult, more contested shot on the first attempt, our shooting percentages go way up because now we have the defense in scramble mode and eventually out of rotation somewhere.

We have a couple guys who are just too much in a hurry to score and too determined to do it themselves. We need better patience and discipline and we could beat SMC at their own game.
