I'm also worried about Haws' effectiveness off-ball, but you just can't afford to have him be the main ball handler, he makes way too many mistakes. Hardnett and Cannon are much more efficient passers and penetrators.
Here's what I would do to try and compensate - emphasize Haws as the main guy in transition after a stop. i.e. make him the focal point of guys looking up the floor in transition, have him streaking down the floor early. In a two on one or three on two he becomes the PG. Hardnett is also pretty good at pushing in transition but not as good as Haws IMO.
