Stanford has MOSTLY been a revolving door of multiple-QB seasons.
They rarely have one QB hold it down. Andrew Luck is a total outlier for them. A nerdy genius incredible talent to come play under Harbaugh. QB development with top notch guys is usually poor. And when a guy does come along, like Hogan, they misuse him and hold him back from doing what he really could. Game managers at best, meh play and revolving doors is the norm.

And no, their last 3 QBs were not NFL guys. Before and after Luck, it has mostly been a bunch of nothing. QB play is not something they're known for. They didn't even have one single guy make it to 2000 yds passing from 2000 until Andrew Luck in 09. 9 years. Even Bama has had better overall QB play and development in recent history. And Bama definitely isn't known for QBs. So many people on this board seem to think Andrew Luck by himself makes up a 20 year Stanford history or something.
