We just received a Christmas card with one of those fold-in updates about the whole family. This particular letter from today had the following excerpt:

Jamie: Jamie is running her Senegence business from home. She was so successful this year that she earned a car and an exotic trip and more...

Seriously, how is this ok? What if I sent a Christmas card that said "I am just doing the doctor thing and raking in the Benjamins. I bought a new car and tickets to Hamilton and went to see the Dodgers in the World Series. Go me! Merry Christmas"

I can't imagine any other profession where it's ok to brag so openly to the people you know about how much you make or what else you have earned. And the thing is, there's a reason for it. They are hoping that people will then reach out to the them to either buy more product or to join up, in hopes that they will attain the same kind of success. In the end, they just become another 'drug mule' for the ring leader.


BTW, it's totally ok to do it on an anonymous message board.
