BYU isn't interested in HIT and RUN OC talent, they like their coaches long term to add stability to the program and players likewise. If a program is in a state of flux every few years it doesn't attract talented recruits. If BYU were to become an offensive /defensive powerhouse, BYU would be attracting the TOP talent in the country, both LDS and non-LDS. Talented LDS Coaches are far more likely to stay long term even if they are paid less.
