LSU people broke the news, not BYU. BYU obviously kept this tight and under wraps. They were doing their part and likely had something planned to announce so they can impress people like you with their PR skills. If you read the stuff from LSU, you'd know this deal was finalized over a week ago. I'm sure everyone wanted to get the rest of the staff finalized before announcing.
