I've always wondered if there is a cap put on salaries regardless of donations.
For all we know the AD has been sitting on tens of millions of available coaching funds but only conservatively doles it out based on what the higher-ups deem appropriate for the programs based on the mission of the school. Or is this more of a pay as you go (give or take 2-3 years) process?
