Saw an article in Indianapolis paper about A player named Clarence Walker.
It said he was in the NCAA tournament in 1948 playing for what is now Indiana St. The coach was John Wooden. Wooden held his team out of the 1947 event because black players weren’t allowed. They changed the rule in 1948.

He was the only black player on the Indiana St team and in the tournament.

If they excluded Blacks today, the tournament games would be one on one.
