Wouldn't you say there is a distinct difference...
...between making up some statistics that make you look good versus using numbers that put you in a favorable light?

For instance - saying that over the past 30 years BYU is 19-11 against the U in football, that is using stats to put BYU in a favorable light.

On the other hand, if I were to say that BYU has won 9 of the last 10 games against the U - well...that's simply making us stuff.

I think there is a difference.

And I really haven't weighed in on this arguement, because I don't care. But I think you are really stretching it here.
