BYU also would have won the autobid in 2014 and in 2015 without the Zags and...

...would have played in the championship game in 2016 without the semifinals loss to the Zags (maybe another autobid?)

So our "gap" would have been two seasons and maybe only one if we beat SMC in the finals in 2016 (when we lost to Gonzaga in the semis)
