If I'm Washington State or Oregon State, I'm trying to jump NOW.
If they wait to be the last kid picked, they likely don't get picked.
Their counterparts at UW and Oregon are actively trying to leave and won't sign a GOR.
The 4 corner schools are more geographically attractive. While Wazzu delivers a decent media draw, Oregon State is the 12th of 12.
Wait to go the way of UConn and South Florida, and until recently, Cincinnati. Or be bold and make a move early.
Also, the SWC is a good example. Everybody knew it was falling apart. I'm sure SMU wishes it had tried to make a pre-emptive move. Again, until recently Houston was in the same boat after 25+ years adrift.
