It really is ridiculous what's going on. There could surely be a few tweaks everyone could agree on to reduce the insanity. Shortened transfer windows, earlier deadlines, game appearance or minutes limits, shifted eligibility dates, priorities based on class, things of that nature that don't add up to sitting out a whole year as before but still put some cost and hassle to bailing out that would be enough to cut down what's going on right now by about 50% to 75%.

Losing one or two guys a year is fine, but losing five or six is just nonsense.
