I’ll take him at face value. Grayson Allen is significantly more efficient than both. It wouldn’t make sense for me to try and compare him to them and use the fact that he takes less shots to explain away the difference in points.
And I think you are confusing usage rate with touches. Usage rate is the percentage of possessions a player uses and is calculated essentially by shots taken plus turnovers. Someone who passes more will have a lower usage rate. So getting more assists and rebounds isn’t more impressive at a lower usage rate because they aren’t related at all.
Jokic leads the entire nba in touches and front court touches. He is involved in everything and is almost never off ball. He’s either creating on ball or screening for the ball handler. Therefore his counting stats are higher. He has twice as many front court touches per game than SGA. Much harder to get assists if you don’t always have the ball.
