I think the disagreement is I see the potential for significant improvement. I don't think this roster is full of great 3 point shooters. I think it's full of adequate 3 point shooters. And a big part of what made them adequate was the system getting them an irregular amount of clean looks.
As we got later in the year, it got a little more difficult to get those clean looks because teams frequently switched and crossmatched. Even with that, and nobody to attack switches and break the paint, BYU was STILL able to get good 3 point looks.
I care about good execution and good offense. You can make a good argument that BYU ran some of the best stuff in college basketball and had some of the best shot quality I've seen this year. The misses are a talent issue. And with literally EVERY player that plays the game having a focus on being a good shooter, I think that fits perfectly with how we're trying to recruit.
