The gas equivalent to a GV60 would be anything in the Camry size range of vehicles. They slyly try to call it an SUV, but it clearly is not based on body shape. It's a hatchback car. Such cars routinely get well over 30 MPG, which would equate to roughly $200 in fuel cost to go 1,521 miles, not $800.
Such size vehicles can routinely get upwards of 40 MPG in the city if you get a hybrid, thereby decreasing fuel costs below $200.
