Pope got a pay raise to come here from UVU. Pope is great, but its not like he
was some rockstar elite coach who did the church a favor and came here with a pay cut over what he was making elsewhere.
Pope is a neat guy and a good coach. But there are a lot of great coaches out there and a limited number of spots for head coach making $3million+ a year. Its not like every coach who sets his mind to it moves up the ladder eventually to get one of the 50 to 100 multi-million dollar head coaching positions in the country.
