My daughter’s comp coach is a college soccer coach
I didn’t feel like it was a problem and there were rules for the college coaches that players had to live within a certain distance so they couldn’t just coach a club team of girls that would be playing for the university.

That is horrible policy if allowed. I know a coach at my kid's school got sanctioned for attending a club team event.
