I love my parents, but being really close by parents geographically as a college age student wouldn't be a super high priority for many college males.

His parents could see him play more often if he were closer, but if he's mostly getting no playing time then the whole parents watching the child play isn't as meaningful. That would likely be an issue at BYU, perhaps moreso than at BSU.
