Since there is no effective governing body right now, all of the power lies with
the B1G and SEC commissioners to do basically whatever they want. All they need to do is to keep the schools in their conference happy for another 5-10 years at most and no one is stopping them from making decisions that hurt the future of college football overall.

The 70 team proposal isn't going to happen, though I really wish it would, because it will definitely mean less power for the P2 and likely less $$$ as well. It would help to strengthen college football in the future, but the people in power don't care about that. I suppose the only thing the P2 needs to worry about are lawsuits from everyone else.
