I don't think some of you understand what GMO really means
It means scientists select attributes that are good for commercial reasons, like color, size, shape and pest resistance.

It's really difficult to tell how many other factors are also changing. Taste is a big one. They didn't change things to taste better or to be healthier in the recent past.

I read somewhere that the biodiversity in Italy is somewhere in the thousands more diverse than what we eat here.

They are using cultivars passed down through the centuries that just taste better. It's not about getting the produce from point A to point B and making sure it looks good in the supermarket.

Whether or not it's bad for you is another question. Maybe not.

I don't think we know enough to say for sure.

I understand why some of you think it's cute to call GMO a bogeyman, but it comes off a little arrogant and childish.
