Just lost my best performing leader and it was a complete surprise.
He approached me a few months ago and told me he felt he was handicapped because his budget to attract employees was 80% less than competitors.
I reminded him of our special purpose and thought that would be enough.
He approached me a few weeks ago and told me he felt underpaid because a competitor might pay him twice as much as I do.
I reminded him how lucky he is to be associated with our organization and thought that would be enough.
Anyhow, the selfish guy quit today to take the money.
To make it worse, some of his employees are leaving to make more money.
Hard to believe this would happen. Just doesn’t make sense.
