He has come to me a few times over the years with some big ideas relating to how to run his organization, how to make money, how to better recruit key employees, etc, and we haven’t done them because we were either too worried about what our board would think to even approach them or didn’t want to engage with the two layers of executives and then to the board to make the case to them. So we just sat dormant.
But I explained to him how special our mission is and how lucky he is to be a part of it.
