Got laid off at ages 50 and 60 and somehow survived--so will you
Both times it took 9 months to find a job, but I suck at networking. More connected friends around me landed elsewhere quickly.
Savings, unemployment pay, contract work, minor spending adjustments made it all still work. My then-teens also made adjustments that helped us, and are probably more fiscally responsible now because of it.
