Never lived there, but have been to Daytona (pretty close) and love it down there. I’d totally live there from my
Experience.
Been to Daytona and Orlando a lot, like at least a couple times a year.
My mom lives north east of Tampa, still a ways from Deland, but she absolutely loves it in Florida.
